I've been playing Evony on and off for almost 2 years now. I was #1 on my 1st serious server (S12). I was #2 on S59 and T50 on S144/S150. I even restarted on N1 for a while where I was very active in wars. I've always played VERY offensively, been in a lot of battles and developed my own style of play. Wednesday, 23 March 2011. A couple of interesting things I found out on s150:. 1) If you attack a city with no walls then scouts will win the fight, drop loyalty and take resources. I found this when some muppet bombed my outpost. You always need to build walls in an outpost to protect your res. I did a massive SB about 10s before my workers got there and the city got built. So we have got our city pimped up on production, we are farming valleys for extra resources and medals, I don't think I need to write anything about farming L5 barbs it's been said a million times. We should be getting hefty resources. Honestly you really should be running a surplus until a couple of months in unless you went mental on the on-wars. Resources - what use are they? Too much resources = train attack hero and get mroe racks. Too little resources = increase income.

Thursday, 24 March 2011. Defence is one area where I disagree with just about everyone. I've seen too many people wake up to no army, no walls and massive honor. This is even worse than that in a way because they have probably had a "defensive" army there for months doing nothing but eating res and waiting for the moment they would get splatted. Sure you can take the approach of having someone log in for you when you are being attacked and offline. Sorry but I see that as cheating. 2) Don't build ATs....
