Arthur wanted it to say "Welcome to Egypt" because that is what we so often hear in the streets. But I found "WELCOME" was hard enough to fit. Along the back are 3 pyramids. No preciptation predicted for any of the days with 14 hours of sunshine for all but one of them. Usually there is a day or two in the week where the POP is 10% or even as high as 20%, but not in July. We haven't had rain in months and the last time when it did rain, it was just a sprinkle. Twins,a boy and a girl, here in Egypt who just turned one year old got the "Mr Sun", boy and girl dolls and a pouch with some Ikea stacking cups. It was accompanied by thunder and lightening as an added bonus. It is hard to believe that just a week ago we were under the Egyptian sun and today we are soaking up the rain in Akron. Some events in the lives of Arthur, Phyllis, Erik and Conrad. Friday, July 03, 2015. Cold Brew Iced Tea. Cyndy got us onto cold brew iced tea. Up until we talked to her, we had been boiling water, making hot tea, cooling it, adding ice, and then drinking it. Now we pour filtered water into our jug, add a tea bag of our desired tea (usually mint or vanilla), put it in the fridge overnight and we have wonderful, mild iced tea the next day. Add ice and enjoy! A tablecloth and recovered our old dusty pillows.

Friday, February 1, 2008. So in January I had a break from class so I convinced my fellow SALTer Katelin to come with me to Cambodia. We flew into the capital Phnom Penh and my first thought was, am I in Europe? I guess it's been easy to get used to the small, laid back capital of Vientiane. I was totally overwhelmed by the tall buildings, traffic and noise of Phnom Penh. It was so great to hook up with MCC Cambodia people there and have not only a free place to stay, but fun tour guides!
