Works on conductivity between the components and the probe stylus. Stylus touch is indicated the LED light. Work piece detection accuracy within 1 micron. Stylus repeatability better than 2 microns. Stylus ball diameter tolerances /- micron. Stylus concentricity can be set with 5 microns on the machine tool. Over travel protection - 10 mm in X,Y and 5 mm in Z-axis.
