Forts | Three Sneaky Bugs
https://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/2008/10/01/forts
For a long time I’ve wanted a playhouse for the kids in the backyard. I remember the one my dad made for my sisters. I also remember being jealous and a little upset because I was basically too big for it by the time it was made. If only we had a nice big tree for a treehouse too! Never Done Project: The "Island Cover" from Hell
http://neverdoneproject.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-island-cover-from-hell.html
August 1, 2013. The "Island Cover" from Hell. I finally started sewing again! It actually happened a month ago over the 4th of July weekend. I made myself pull out the sewing machine and run to the fabric store, and before I knew it, I had finished projects to show for it. I decided to make it similar to the one I made for our coffee table. Which was made with laminated cotton, and has been great for protecting the table from spills and cup rings. I got the idea to use it, but to add a border around it s...

My Family | Three Sneaky Bugs
https://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/my-family
This is me, Anna. Not the best pic of me but it was taken by my son and I thought he did an excellent job of framing. This is Steve, the hubby. Yes, this is the best picture I could find. No, I have no idea why he’s looking sideways into the camera. This is my son, Seth. He’s 3 1/2 and dressed here as a pilot. And finally, my daughter, Eleanor. She’s 9 1/2 months in this picture and leaning forward, so close to being able to crawl she can taste it. Save the Planet (4). Cooking with Children (8).

Valentine Beanbags! | Three Sneaky Bugs
https://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/valentinebeanbags
Raise your hand if you know I tend to go overboard at Valentine’s Day. Ah, I see more than half of you with your hands up. As you may have guessed, this year was certainly no exception. We’ll see how much time I can find this week to show you all of our projects. First up, I made a pile of bean bags out of left over felt from Seth’s halloween costume. An old grey t-shirt and a large bag of rice. I had everything on hand except the rice, which I found on sale – bonus! I suggested to Eleanor that she might...

Happy Easter! | Three Sneaky Bugs
https://threesneakybugs.wordpress.com/2012/04/09/happy-easter
During a recent crafty getaway with Sarah. I doodled on some easter eggs. One a day in fact. They were like my creative break from being creative. Does that make sense? They were easy, had no plan, and no required outcome. If they turned out nice – hurray! If not, I wasn’t really out any time, frustration or money. But I’m happy with the final result and since we were traveling the week prior to Easter, they were our sole decorations for the holiday. It’s not like I was filling them with chocolate. I was...

Never Done Project: Wiksten Tova: Flannel Dots
http://neverdoneproject.blogspot.com/2012/12/wiksten-tova-flannel-dots.html
December 12, 2012. Wiksten Tova: Flannel Dots. Another sewing project from October - version 4 of the Wiksten Tova. This one is nearly identical in construction to the Plaid Tova. Except that I made it a bit longer and shortened the sleeves. When I wore the Plaid Tova I caught myself constantly pushing the sleeves up above my elbows; this time I just started there and I'm pretty happy with their length. Never Done Project
http://neverdoneproject.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-favorite-photo-of-mike-and-our-niece.html
July 17, 2013. My favorite photo of Mike and our niece Elle. Today is my love's birthday. He does not love his birthday. He has an issue with time passing. This year, more than ever, I encourage him to focus on the moments. To not be a "big picture" person (I'll handle that). To enjoy being himself, a husband and a papa. Happy birthday, love. Never Done Project: Coffee Table
http://neverdoneproject.blogspot.com/2011/11/coffee-table.html
November 18, 2011. Mike and I have been searching for a coffee table for years. We have a small living room, but we do a lot of living in it. We wanted a coffee table that matched our aesthetic, our lifestyle and our budget. Unfortunately we couldn't find the trifecta. Our solution was to have Mike build something. So while I was sewing with friends. Mike enrolled in a weekend class at The Joinery. Clamps and a planing sander. A multitude of routers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). As part of my dail...
