Friday, July 05, 2013. Craft corner, or day in the life! My little buddy Maggie doodle bug, aka the little :-) And letting my inner artist out! This flower is called a Heliconia. I have several different varieties in reds, yellows, and oranges. The corner studio LOL! The base is the bench to my table with shoe racks on top. Not pretty but functional. My current project, 3 panels same size with different birds on them. Not finished still in progress. I start at one end of the table and work my way down!

Friday, November 09, 2012. IT's amazing how much life can happen in a couple of weeks. Since I last posted we have elected a new president,. My polling place, Hanalei Elementry cafeteria. My oldest brother and sister came for a visit. Beach Barbeques were enjoyed, hikes were taken,. Scenic drives enjoyed, yummy meals cooked,. And shared. Shelling, swimming, and sunning. The name given zumbuehlerae was in honor of my Aunt Hedwig who introduced me to orchids. her maiden name was Zumbuhl. I will forever be in gratitude for her introduction to the worlds largest flowering plant family! It's description is below. Dr. Carlye Luer keyed out the orchid and published it.
