oneluckybug.com - Miniatures - Coppelia, the Clockwork Doll
http://www.oneluckybug.com/coppelia.shtml
I was inspired in part by the Muses in Girl Genius. And my desire to do a Steampunk doll. I refrained from gluing random gears on her. If I'm going to have gears, they're going to be FUNCTIONAL. Some of her decorations do hint at gears, though. Once the doll was finished, I had to figure out choreography and photography, and how to make a short stop-motion animated video that needed no explanation. The explanation was given at the beginning of the video, in a simple, vintage style advertising poster.

I admit, I have a weakness for articulated dolls. When I came across a doll named Norwey on eBay, she just HAD to come home with me. She's a one of a kind ball jointed and strung doll by Tima Hass, who does lovely delicate work. A teenager in the natural rebel stage, she's actually quite mellow and easy going. She told me she wanted to be called Nora and has asked for several outfits already. I take it she didn't like traveling all the way from California in the buff! 1/144" Victorian Bay House.

http://tallulahbelleoriginals.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, 3 August 2014. Busy, busy, busy! As usual things have been busy here :-). On top of working I've been away quite a bit in my campervan. We often don't get much of a summer over here so I have to take advantage when I can :-). This is such a beautiful country and I can drive an hour away and be a forest, or up a mountain, or by the side of a lake. And it costs me little more then staying at home all weekend.so off I go :-). Posted by Tallulah Belle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Busy, busy, busy!

Wednesday, 15 January 2014. Happy New Year.very belated! So much for my plans of being back working on the 7th January! The best laid plans and all that. I spent New Year camping in a very wet Bedgellert, Wales. Barely stopped raining the entire time but it wasn't at all cold so didn't stop me enjoying being out in the fresh air. I love being outside and try to remember that there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing! Somy goal for this year is to not buy anything new. I will ...
