Maar vanuit daar kun je beter te voet de berg beklimmen. Het Klooster van Montserrat *. In 1811 werd het klooster vernietigd door plunderende troepen van Napoleon. Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, het Modernista-pronkstuk van Codorníu, is in 1906 ontworpen door Josep Puig i Cadafalch. De kelders over vijf verdiepingen, zijn 26 km lang. Bezoekers worden op een treintje rond gereden. Miguel Torres is in Spanje zelf en ook daarbuiten meermalen uitgeroepen tot één van 's werelds beste wijnmakers.

Thursday, April 13, 2006. Het klooster van de Heilige Maria van Poblet was het belangrijkste klooster van de drie verwante kloosters, bekend als de 'cisterciënzer driehoek'. Deze driehoek speelde een rol bij de consolidatie van de macht in Catalonië, nadat de regio door Ramon Berenguer IV was heroverd op de Moren. Tijdens de Eerste Carlistenoorlog werd de abdij geplunderd en ernstig beschadigd door brand. In 1930 is men begonnen met de restauratie van de indrukwekkende ruïnes. Monestir de Santes Creus.
