Here is a gallery. Of a few of the more memorable birds we saw:. We had a great few days of birding. Arrived at Wheatley Provincial Park to camp on the 10th. The 11th was very cold and windy. A personal best 102 species were seen on a much brighter, warmer May 12. Left early on May 13. Birded area included Pelee National Park and Hillman Marsh. The wind and cold also kept the birds low and very inactive. Here's are a few pics of the effects on us, and the birds. Bird list for the trip:.

February 2, 2004. A fun trip with Tim and Lynne, who were doing some photographing of their own. Unfortunately for me, too many pictures were taken with an F/8 reflex lens, handheld. The results are blurred and too soft, with the trademark donuts or ghosting of objects outside fo the plane of focus. I also haven't corrected for the Kodachrome colour cast my scanner introduces - hardly worth it given the quality of the originals. Paul Mansz and Pattie McKerral.

Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa). March 12, 2006. Merv Cormier, Allen Gorham and I made a morning trip up to the Irving plantation at Deersdale. After a very muddy drive (and icy - the logging road was not cleared) for 11 miles or so we came to the bird, which cooperated for us. Click on any of the pictures to see larger versions.
