Friday, December 23, 2011. Project 16: Airplant in a Votive. Okay - I do believe this is my last air plant project! At least for a while. :0). This project is super simple. I bought an inexpensive votive candle holder at Pier One. I took a small amount of decorative moss and placed in the bottom of the votive so that the air plant would sit higher when I glued it down. In these kits were some nifty condoms by One. One does a cool thing of allowing people to design the packaging. I kept noticing cool things in the packaging and held onto a few. Friday, December 23, 2011. Project 13: Stylish Terrarium. An air plant was hot glued into this jar to create this terrarium. Only the white rock and the plant are secured. Building a terrarium is something I've always wanted to try. It seemed pretty easy and it was. I just needed to find a jar I liked to get started. Jar (open or with a lid). Activated charcoal (can be purchased at a pet shop in the aquarium section). Succulents or air plant. A succulent is used in this terrarium. Project 11: 3-D Star.

Sunday, December 4, 2011. Project 1: Decoupage Wooden Keychain. As my first project in this challenge I decided to create a keychain that I saw on the site Pinterest. The instructions called for a Jenga game but I didn't have one of those on hand. Instead, I went to Home Depot for a square dowel rod and scored most of my other supplies that were needed for this. Some of the other stuff I already had (paint brush, sand paper and mod podge). 1 Square Dowel Rod. My favorite of the bunch is the zebra one.

The contest that's gripping the world! On final check-in Monday, we rocked an event known as Mantastifest 2006. Smoked sausage, chili.food as far as the eye could see! A glorious time was had by all. One of the highlights of the event was the debut of the Mantastic Daisies. Taking their name and color scheme from the Daisy razor by Gillette. Each Daisy chaperoned a different style of facial hair.
