Friday, July 26, 2013. I've started volunteering with the Cascade Butterfly Project, which works with Washington's national parks and the North Cascade Institute to monitor butterflies. We hike in specific areas and observe which species of butterflies and sub-alpine plants we see. Here are some pretty sweet pictures from the training and my recent surveys. View of the Skagit River valley from Sauk Mountain, where we had our training near North Cascades National Park. Playing with our headlamps at night.
