Use of Results

How the test results will be used. As different sets of Manx surname Y-DNA results are received they will be incorporated into a project database which will be analysed to establish any common genetic patterns across the population of Manx men included. This analysis will consider:. Genetic distances between individuals and assessments of the time to a single most recent common ancestor (TMRCA). Haplogroup results and predictions. The subset of results collected through testing at FTDNA can be seen here.
