About Tsavo National Park. Tsavo National Park 11,747 sq km. The Mudanda Rock is a 1.6 km inselberg of stratified rock that acts as a water catchment that supplies a natural dam below. It offers an excellent vantage point for the hundreds of elephants and other wildlife that come to drink during the dry season. The Yatta Plateau, the world's longest lava flow, runs along the western boundary of the park above the Athi River. Its 290 km length was formed by lava from Ol Doinyo Sabuk Mountain.

The camp has one main pool near the Twiga Bar and Twiga Restaurant, all the facilities are accessible to guests staying within the camp. The Twiga Restaurant is elevated on a 2nd floor and has great views of the surrounding Tsavo East National park. The adjacent lounge area has a pool table and is an ideal place to watch the sun go down after a long game drive. Could have probably used stitches at the ER but doctor Dad used medical super glue and steri strips at home. Then on Tuesday Oliver got kind of badly bitten by another toddler.
