Saturday, June 13, 2015. It has been quite some time since I have posted to my blog. I apologize for the absence! There was a glitch that has (finally) been cleared up. (I hope). I first built a plywood wall that would be totally flat, and then added Roma Plastilina clay. I used the tools they sculpt cars out of, large flat blades, to shape the flat sections. Bottom left shows "butterflies" we use to help the newly applied clay to stay up. This is an 18th century technique. Wednesday, April 22, 2015.

That is what happens when your name is plastered over the side of your truck. He had wanted to meet me, had heard of me through friends in Porter Corners, where we both lived. I think I told how Jim. Designed the Crucifix armature. When the sculpting was finished, the committee from New Jersey. Tico Vogt made the crucifix itself. From his shop to my place.
