The steps involved were:. Delete all items from current sharepoint list. Get data from project management software. Do some mapping and push into sharepoint. SSIS was going to be the vehicle to run the code I just had to figure out how to talk to sharepoint. Get All current sharepoint list items (for the IDs) - GetListItems.

Batch processing is beneficial when you have certain tasks that consume alot of resources and the tasks are not urgent. An example might be sending out an email notification to subscribers or printing invoices. There are a few things to keep in mind when designing a batch system:.
