Jr boys 4X finished 5th out of 9, Jr Girls crew of Christy Scholten, Sophie Cutt, Anna Brigham and Lindsay wise place 2nd / 7, Masters Mix 2X Rick Tull and Ruth Rutledge 2nd / 8, Richard Young rowing in the tough opens mens 1X place 3rd / 9 and Master Mens 1X Dave Symonds was 6th / 9. Head Of the Elk. And 8km course around the perimeter of Elk and Beaver lakes.

Alcohol may be consumed on the premises but the proper liquor licence must be obtained. The club is in a residential neighbourhood so late night events are not encouraged. For information about renting the club facility please contact:. Our first Regatta was open in 1976 so we had all the Universities and elite crews attending. This went on for several years and then we switched our focus to High School rowers with Bill Murray, Glenn Harvey and Tom Gavaghan taking the lead in the coaching department.

The Maple Bay junior rowing program is open to boys and girls ages 13-18 (some exception for 12yr olds). The main objectives are to be safe, have fun, learn to row, develop team spirit and learn self-discipline. Our program is made up of students from schools throughout the Cowichan Valley. Thursday, October 6, 2016. September 22 the forms for the footings were built in the hole. They then sat empty while we waited, and waited, and waited for the building permit.
