It's a question I get asked a lot. Mar-aon is a Scottish Gaelic word meaning 'togetherness' or 'acting as one'. It seemed to work as a concept and I liked the idea that it encapsulated what I was trying to do with clients. It is also a unique word and as such I had no problems with domains. It is, however, surprising to me how few people can pronounce it. 'Ma-. With the emphasis on the second sylable is close enough! In particular - would like me to make it clear that they did not help!

A Pitch for Common Sense. Thursday, 30 April 2015. My - somewhat laboured - point is that, lovely as marketing people are, they need to be part of the business. And yes, lawyer - you are working in a business. I should emphasise that this is not the fault of the marketing consultant - although it would be good if more of them would have a more holistic view of the business. What is needed is someone - on the Board or at C-level - who does. I wish it was more complicated than it is.
