Saturday, August 06, 2016. 2016 Road Trip - Day 16. Only two stops on our agenda today, first for the kids and then our Last Sleep for this road trip. Found this water park online maybe six or seven sleeps ago and decided to surprise the kids with it. Roaring Springs in Idaho. It's not another rock, mountain or reader board regarding history and thought the kids could end this trip on something they thought was "cool". This time Oma hung out with Doug in Ethel since it costs no matter if you swim or not.

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Well we are wrapping up two sports and getting ready for two others. Jo has been taking competitive swimming and has done a great job. She has won a number of ribbons in local meets but has refused to compete in the larger ones. She always has a smile and has become quite smooth and efficient swimmer. We will miss seeing. Jo will be moving onto school track next. Cole is wrapping up basketball. Here he is directing his teammates is a common occurrence for him. OMSI - Star Wars.

Tuesday, September 06, 2016. First Day of Coles Freshman Year at NEHS! Cool and raining as Cole heads out to meet up with friends to ride his bike on his first day of High School at North! I find the outfit interesting but he is a happy guy and is quite excited to see all of his friends and get his high school life started! We took an early Spring Break with the kids and headed to Indiana to spend time with Jill's Grandma Rea and family. Sunday, March 01, 2015. OH, NO SNOW! No snow here nor in thar hills. So we headed to the beach for some sand surfing! We picked a perfect day! And the family picked it up quickly. Waxing the boards between each run for maximum speed. And really the only air they got…. Was when I asked one to jump in place for me! But it looks cool if you didn’t know any different. Doug and I got into a photo too. I was / am feeling on the ill side so I walked and took the pictures. Doug, ran and ran and ran. OH, NO SNOW!

Monday, July 15, 2013. April Last and May Beginnings. Last part of April brought Babe Ruth Opening Ceremonies for the 2013 season. Oma and Cole in the mix of their AAA team. Cole is walking next to Oma, both wearing shades. By the 28th I had the garden completely built and full of dirt! 60 of that was the cost of the dirt. And on the 29th of April we had plants! Rhubarb, two kind of blueberries, three cherry tomatoes (thought we got one large and two cherries, oh well). Potatoes (red & yellow). Time pass...

Thursday, August 01, 2013. OK, all of May except the kids birthday parties. I'll get to those in a bit. One of the teachers at the kids' school started a Lego Robotics Club and we were all over getting both kids signed up for that! A parent is asking questions. Once a week for 5 months, I think, the kids stayed after school learning to build and program these robots. Friday, August 05, 2016. 2016 Road Trip - Day 15. After leaving our Walmart camp site we missed our turn that would take us "around" Salt Lake City, we were in awe of the the size of the ski ranges. Ski lifts that run right through the condos/vacation homes so a person won't even drive to the mountain, and then the Olympic Park with it's ski jumps were exciting to see as well. Really impressive. So we ended up driving through Salk Lake City and made the turn off to Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake.
