Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Boxes and boxes of kittens! Texturing in 3DS Max today resulted in this shifty looking box from me. Very enjoyable exersize though, mapping textures onto 3D models isn't as hard as I thought it was. Well, 3DS Max is also an easier program to navigate compared to Maya. I also love the way Max makes everything look so appealing! Now its time to go home and make more models with more textures and more elements! I how I love you mr Kitty fanstactico! Monday, September 17, 2012. Castle modelling in 3Ds Max. More modelling in 3Ds Max - this time less focus on building the geometry, more on using pre-existing polygons to create a bigger object. Like playing with Lego but more dynamic! In this exersize we had to design a castle in photoshop, then take that concept to Max to create it with the set of building blocks our teacher had already made up. Monday, August 19, 2013. It's Time to Flourish. Well, it has been a while since my last post. I have been away studying film, and it was an amazing 18 month experience. I have my final film, Ataraxia to show for it, which I have put at the bottom of this post. What did I learn? I will post the portraits I have been working on soon - they seem to elude to a development of a series, that explore myth and story through these images of beautiful god-like beings. Thursday, March 22, 2012. Another task for our Screen Art classes: a kettle! We're studying metals and the way light casts across various objects, which I find quite interesting. I've never looked at a surface and found so many different colours and shades to what I was expecting. We had to recreate the kettle below using a grid, marking out the edges, drawing in the lines, then shading in with greys. Mine came out like this:. However, I still like my efforts.
