https://marbleandmudmyblog.wordpress.com/2011/07
Life is made up of marble and mud…. Monthly Archives: July 2011. July 31, 2011. Has your heart ever been so heavy that you felt as though you would explode? Well, that is how I feel right now! And, I know that when I get like this the only thing that will help it is for me to ramble to someone or write it down. So, here goes nothing:. So, as is custom, I will leave with you a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson:. It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.

Life is made up of marble and mud…. April 19, 2011. It has definitely been a while since my last post, and so much has happened that I am not sure where to begin! We have literally been working on this conference for a year. There were numerous planning sessions, board meetings, late nights at the computer or on the phone, and countless hours lying in bed thinking, “Now, did I call him/her back? 8221; or “I hope I sent that invoice in! While planning for the conference, I have also still been attending g...

Life is made up of marble and mud…. A Reflection of the Past Five Months…. January 1, 2012. Wow, I can’t believe that it has been five months already! 1) As I mentioned five months earlier, I was starting a new adventure, yep, that’s right, grad school three nights a week. The only reason that I agreed to such INSANE terms was because I was taking the last two of my grad school courses, Praise the Lord! 8221; “Why are you crying? 8221; “Clint is going to think you have lost your mind! Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Settled into a pleasent boring. Woah, I haven't posted in over 3 weeks. I'm racking my brain for interesting content but coming up short, guess that's why I haven't blogged in a while! So, what is there to report? We sleep, eat, grocery shop, work, go to the park and change diapers. We like it here! For those who care, here's some of the day-to-day. M likes his new job and is traveling next week {which he enjoys}. Lucky for me, the day M flies out my parents fly in. M'...I fou...
The Roosta and the Bean: Before and {almost} After: Kitchen and Dining
http://lmjandap.blogspot.com/2012/01/before-and-almost-after-kitchen-and.html
Thursday, January 19, 2012. Before and {almost} After: Kitchen and Dining. After walking around with paint in our hair for over a month, I am thrilled to tell you that the laundry, entry, hallway, kid's rooms, kitchen and dining rooms are done! Dark trim, yellow walls, very creamy yellow-ish white cabinets with an antique glaze. {The photos do not represent how the cabinets truly looked.}. Again, they clearly had the house looking great. M and I just prefer cool colors and a brighter more modern look.

Monday, January 2, 2012. Our House Before {and almost} After: Playroom, Stairway and Office. This holiday season M and I have been painting our socks off. We absolutely could not have gotten so much done without Momo and Popo watching J and AP a few days, thank you! I'll start with the playroom, stairway and office. All before pictures are from when the former owners lived here. {And a lot of them are iPhone photos, so forgive the quality}. Stairs to the Bonus Room, aka Playroom. The lattice is to keep A...
The Roosta and the Bean: December 2010

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Hip Hip Hooray for Christmas Vacation: Home (part 1). Oh my Where to start? We're at the end now, after a fabulous whirlwind week of travel and celebrating. J has the stomach bug and the rest of us are holding our breath (well, probably just biding our time). So, what better time to start at the beginning! The Saturday before Christmas we had our family Christmas to celebrate just the 4 of us, and so we didn't have to travel with his (literally) larger gifts. So, we switched...
The Roosta and the Bean: December {Told in January by a lazy blogger}
http://lmjandap.blogspot.com/2012/01/december-told-in-january-but-lazy.html
Wednesday, January 18, 2012. December {Told in January by a lazy blogger}. I'll start with why we didn't have a Christmas card this year:. All is Merry and Chaos! After Thanksgiving we carefully decked the halls. I tried again to get a Christmas card picture. Considered sending one out with just Bean on it. ;-). Found a fairy in the kitchen. We saw Rudolph at the park. We made Christmas cookies. Tis the season for eating. Christmas Eve we tried again. To get a picture. I guess that's pretty good. :).
The Roosta and the Bean: April 2011
http://lmjandap.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. No guilt in life, no fear in death. This is the power of Christ in me. From life's first cry to final breath. Jesus commands my destiny. No power of hell, no scheme of man. Can ever pluck me from His hand. Till He returns or calls me home. Here in the power of Christ I'll stand. I simply must start by linking to the sermon. Our pastor, Jean Larroux, preached Easter morning. I promise it'll be worth your time! Our Easter weekend was full. Three cheers for peanut free holidays.
The Roosta and the Bean: March 2011

Thursday, March 31, 2011. Turkey Sausage Primavera and PJ Babies. At J and Bean's well check up I was asking the doctor if Bean could eat too many. Solids at this age. He replied that right now eating solids is more of a social event, so just smash up some of the vegetables we're eating- like squash. Of course I went right along letting him think we don't eat pizza rolls or some version of pasta and cheese most nights, especially since I already had the ipod touch parenting J in the corner. 1/2 pound Ita...
