It hasn’t been bastardised to allow for multiple paradigms, which is what makes it such a good entry point into functional programming. You have to adopt a functional mindset to work with Haskell, you can't partially apply the mindset, or dip your toes in, it's all or nothing. Why not stick with Haskell? Problem, which is fine!
