Enjoying-Sydney: March 2010
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I guess I still have a lot to learn about Australian traditions. Sunday, March 28, 2010. Today we went off road again with our Prado driving through a nature reserve, the Watagan Moutains, about one hour north of Sydney. It was fun but I saw too many trees. There were just too many of them and they blocked the views which was a bit of a shame but we had fun anyway. This is a picture of my six year old running around in the forrest. This afternoon...

Interesting facts about Sydney. Tuesday, May 17, 2011. This morning, I read the best news ever in the Sydney Morning Herald. La Nina is - almost - gone! After a few months of very unpredictable weather, the forecasters now confirmed that the weather pattern will return to 'neutral'. We've had a summer with very extreme weather and lots of rain. Hopefully this will now change. Read the full article: A turn for the better as La Nina fades away. Hi, thanks for your comment! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Friday, February 26, 2010. In total I spent almost four hours on 'solving' this very complicated technical problem. I guess I could have made better use of my time. Anyway, this weekend, I won't spend anytime at home. Today, we will leave for a four wheel drive course south of Sydney. Everything is packed and we will be back on Sunday. Labels: Four wheel drive. Thursday, February 25, 2010. The mess of moving. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Tuesday, February 23, 2010. With t...

Enjoying-Sydney: January 2010
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Friday, January 29, 2010. Today both kids started school. The past few weeks my life was kids, kids, kids. I did not really have time to concentrate on anything else. Now I need to find other things to keep myself occupied. So what do 'mums-who-just-arrived-in-Australia' do on a first day without kids? Tonight we go out for dinner for the first time since I arrived in Australia. I look forward to that. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Being Dutch, I could never have imagined s...

Enjoying-Sydney: We have a new prime minister
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010/06/we-have-new-prime-minister.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Thursday, June 24, 2010. We have a new prime minister. To my surprise, I read in the newspaper this morning that 'we' are likely to have a new prime minister today. I just came back from tennis, and I hear on the radio that the current prime minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, has stepped down. He will be replaced by Julia (nice name! Could this have something to do with the World Cup soccer? Thirty seconds and a Google search later I know the answer. According to the w...

Enjoying-Sydney: April 2010
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. It's bedtime for my six-year-old. I go with him to his room to read a bedtime story. As soon as we enter the room he starts to scream: 'Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Because he screams, I start screaming too: 'Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Huntsman spiders are very quick so after brushing teeth in the bathroom it was no longer there. I'm sure it's now hiding somewhere in the closet, growing and growing and waiting till it is big enough to really scare us. This we...

Enjoying-Sydney: December 2009
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Thursday, December 31, 2009. What does my schedule look like less then two weeks prior to our departure to Sydney? Try to sell our MG-B. A great car (at least that's what Marcel thinks) but not very practical when you plan to spend a few more years abroad. Trow away a lot of stuff. I'll bring tree suitcases to Australia. Looking around the house, I'm sure I have enough stuff to easily fill five suitcases. Oeps. Of course, trying to visit as many friends and family as possi...

Enjoying-Sydney: Canberra
http://enjoying-sydney.blogspot.com/2010/06/canberra.html
Interesting facts about Sydney. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. The city itself is not very attractive. There is a big lake which is nice. Despite a few attempts we were not able to find a city centre. The other thing was that we didn't see a lot of people. Because of the long weekend many people must have left the town to visit friends and family elsewhere. The best thing about going to Canberra are the museums. We visited the National Museum of Australia. On day one and Questacon. Hi, thanks for your comment!
