8220;It’s a Beautiful Place”. 8220;Happy Mothers Day” →. April 16, 2010 · 2:18 am. Today it was back to work after being off 3 days to attend Jon’s grandpa’s funeral. The trip went well and it was a great time of celebrating his life. We were overwhelmingly blessed by being given his grandpa’s car. The cool thing to this story is that Jon and I have only had one vehicle for the past 4 years- to the exact date! We sold our second vehicle April 13, 2006 and were given a 1998 Ford Taurus on April 13, 2010.

November 12, 2010 · 4:38 pm. What a difference a year makes! The next day, our task was to unload our belongings and start making the house our home. Jon started at Prairie Lakes Church just 2 days later and I was left with the task of “setting up house”. I was lonely and wondered what the heck we were doing in Iowa by ourselves! What a difference a year makes! October 16, 2010 · 5:57 am. The last 2 weeks have been pretty rough for me. Jon and I have been on the journey of adopting a child. We have really felt like our time is now and God has made a way for us. We have been in the midst of filling out paperwork and fundraisers for almost a year now. We have been so blessed by all the support along the way. We do not get real excited, at least anticipate, when our profile is presented to birth moms. What a difference a year makes!

Now that I am done with my 3 week FB Fast I want to share what I experienced. 1) I do NOT need FB as much as I thought I did. 2) I read my Bible more and spent more time in prayer. It was a great experience and I enjoyed the time of focus. I found myself, and still do, reading more and praying without ceasing! 3) The weeks/days leading up to Easter were amazing. But wait, It gets better folks- a total of 4000 people. My 30th Birth Day.
