Where Jane Creates: Let's Get Acquainted
http://wherejanecreates.blogspot.com/2014/07/lets-get-acquainted.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Welcome to my stop on Plum and June's. Let's Get Acquainted Blog Hop for 2014. Before I start chatting away, a huge thanks to Beth for all she's done to organise the blog hop. It's been a huge amount of work and we all appreciate it! I made this baby quilt last year for my niece, who's about to turn one. It's my own design and I love the contrast between the pinks and greys. My Polaroid Rainbows started as a polaroid block swap and ended up as an I Spy quilt that graces my young...

Maineiacs In Motion: Good Friends
http://maineiacsinmotion.blogspot.com/2015/08/good-friends.html
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Well I lied once again. As it turned out my sister Jamie wanted/needed some additional help sorting out some of my mom's "stuff" so we decided to stay an additional day to help her out. We lost connection with the Mellos over the next 30 or so years after I got transferred to duty in upstate NY in 1977 and Jerry back to Idaho that same year . and then I moved on to the civilian world while Jerry became a "lifer" . continuing his career in the USN for some 23 years. Mike and Pegg...

Maineiacs In Motion: January 2015
http://maineiacsinmotion.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. Zero Day in West Texas. While traveling cross country - every so often - we just take a day to do nothing. We don't really do "nothing" - we just don't have a plan on how we are going to fill our day. I call those days "Zero Days" after a term I learned from our RV/Hiking friends Gene and Judi Curp. Quilt Picture For My Sisters. Thick Adobe Walls - Nature's A/C! Check Out that early Electric Stove - Still Works we're told! We had a nice Zero Day today but tomorrow it will be t...

Maineiacs In Motion: September 2014
http://maineiacsinmotion.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Winne is home now. That big chip in her fiberglass front cap is all repaired along with a few hundred other road debris chips. As long as she was getting a face lift I figured we might as well get all the blue up front redone since I had some paint left over from repairing that wet bay door we fixed a few years ago. We plan on heading north to Bar Harbor on Wednesday afternoon and spending a few days just relaxing and playing tourist before heading home on Saturday. We have be...

Maineiacs In Motion: August 2014
http://maineiacsinmotion.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. Rust, Grime, and Dirt. I just realized that August is almost over, the kiddos are heading back to school, the Maine Summer People (A.K.A. "folks from away") are thinning out, and summer 2014 is almost a memory. We still have a few more days of calendar summer - but autumn in Maine is rapidly approaching. Ebay has become my friend once again. So while I await the postman/Fedex/UPS guy to bring my new parts I accomplish the not-so-fun part of old vehicle restoration . cleanin...

Secret project almost done! By Barbara Konkle on July 15th, 2014. The project for my brother-in-law's wedding is about done! I just finished quilting this afternoon and I love it! I have debated, loved, hated, questioned, and cried over this quilt! I really want this to be something they treasure and love. All that is left now is cutting and binding! Here is what it looks like now:. I have never quilted using wavy lines before and while it is not perfect I had a BLAST doing it! They are calling my name!

Hug-a-Bit Quilts.: July 2014
http://hugabitquilts.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, 19 July 2014. Sewing keeps me sane. I have been sewing late at nights for the last few days. I noticed it has helped me a lot with coping with the loss of my brother-in-law. I finished two small projects a couple of days ago. I waited for a sunny day to take photos and today is the perfect day. This is the July block for do.Good stitches Cherish circle. It is my turn this month so I chose this block made with an improv technique. You can find the tutorial here. Looking forward to using it!

http://maineiacsinmotion.blogspot.com/2015/08/smoky-california.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2015. In spite of all the fires in and around California - Peggy and I remain safe and sound in Yreka, CA - not far from the Oregon border near I-5. The smoke has been pretty bad these last few days but a front moved through last night so hopefully the air will be cleaner today! Here was the view from half way up Mt. Shasta a few days ago. Ya'all will have to stay tuned to see what adventures await these Maineiacs as we get back in Motion. Mike and Peggy Evringham. Mike and Peggy ret...
