Thursday, April 14, 2011. 8 months and more! Sorry for the long stretch since my last post. Time is short these days! Walker is doing so much now. I can't get over the fact that he's 8 months old! He started crawling around 7 months, mostly on his belly, but now is crawling on his knees as well. About 2 weeks ago he started pulling up to kneeling and today he pulled up to standing! Monday, April 19, 2010. A very beachy Easter. We had a wonderful visit to Amelia with Bill's parents for Easter and Spring Break week. The weather was absolutely gorgeous the whole week. Bill came just for the weekend and then he and Terry went down to Daytona for business. Ridley and I stayed back with Grandma Totsie for the whole week and had a blast! Wednesday, September 15, 2010. We went to the Lake for Labor Day. It was Walker's first time there and he went on his first boat ride! On the boat with Uncle Mike. Saturday, August 21, 2010. Born 8/6/10 at 4:12 pm. 7 pounds, 5 oz, 19 inches long. I'm finally getting around to updating my blog with our big news although most or all of you already know about our new baby boy! It took us forever to name him, mainly b/c Bill couldn't make up his mind. I am calling him Walker, Bill has a slew of nicknames for him already including Will, Wilbur and Squawker, we'll see what sticks! Aunt Katie Katherine Foley. Big sister loves to hold me. Monday, December 13, 2010. A weekend of firsts. This weekend was busy! We had a weekend of firsts here in the Newell household. It snowed on Saturday night making it our first official snow (that stuck) in Kansas City. Let me tell you folks, it is sticking! It is now Monday night and the snow has not melted at all! It is freezing cold here.welcome to Kansas! Lastly, William Walker started rice cereal on Sunday! So I'm hoping adding cereal into his regimen may help him sleep a little longer at night!

Monday, March 7, 2011. Outta the Mouths of Babes. This afternoon when I was putting Ridley down for her nap she said she wanted to say her prayers. We usually do this at bedtime, not nap time, but what the hey, right? Our conversation went something like this:. Mom let's say our prayers, prayer hands! She claps her hands together). Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Boy did we ever! Walker was not really into eating his cake, he liked sticking his hands in it and the sticky feeling of the icing but he did not really want to eat it. Sunday we had him baptized at the church we've been attending here, United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. Afterward we had brunch at our house for our family.
