Catastrophe and Bliss: October 2014
http://marcmannheimer.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Saturday, October 25, 2014. 2 Alaskan past-life regressions/dreams. Bear, elk, several variety of fish. I am in the Alaskan wilderness. Animal after animal rise. I feel their energy. I am a greedy hunter, killer. I am in the village. I wander the empty streets. The houses, in long straight rows. I am a spirit. Somewhat malevolent, raw. Thursday, October 9, 2014. New chapbook - The Silver Mean. The way he says. The way he said. Go to the...
Catastrophe and Bliss: September 2014
http://marcmannheimer.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Sunday, September 28, 2014. To be a jerk. Just don't let it show. Don't let anybody know. Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Forget about loves lost. Loves never ventured, indentured. Forgive the apple that came. To carry you to full responsibility. For the world you created. Your stomach folds its claim. You have not missed much. I will tell you. What you have not missed. The blame of 1,000,000 burning stands. Clicking at you in. There is no...
Catastrophe and Bliss: May 2015
http://marcmannheimer.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Saturday, May 30, 2015. Gone are those guides. We reach for crinkly. Potato chips, fast. And bottles of salsa. Hastily, "set me free. Let me out from this. If only we'd eaten. The meat, underdone. The clouds, grey. They were the only. The only monsters to be honest. We have taken this all. A bit too far. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Ye old shell game. The two work together. And then you forget. You know this discomfort. That cuts the sea.
Catastrophe and Bliss: March 2015
http://marcmannheimer.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Sunday, March 29, 2015. The moon is here,. Both the part that is illuminated. Or that part covered. By buildings, trees. In all of its. To give it epithets. To blanket it in stories. All to give us greater. Saturday, March 28, 2015. I saw the purple first. Crocuses cost winter its end. And spring, newly consummated. The fog on my glasses. The frost on the car windows. Breeze biting into my morning skin. All of the trees seeming to ache.
Catastrophe and Bliss: Muse of Silences
http://marcmannheimer.blogspot.com/2015/08/muse-of-silences.html
Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Sunday, August 2, 2015. To pluck her plum. To swallow the grape. That bursts with ecstasy. Her hair strung tight. Not the end of the strum. But the breast to which. The vibrations are held. And from the world of sound. From the wooden column. Of atmosphere and time. Sends the one that sends. Us all mad, on fire. With answers that will not. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). But ya need pics 'o clowds! The job of wanting.

Waiting For a Train: East Coast Highlights, Part Two
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008/07/east-coast-highlights-part-two.html
Waiting For a Train. Wednesday, July 2, 2008. East Coast Highlights, Part Two. A brush with fame. I was headed to the subway with my rolling suitcase, bound for Brooklyn, but I wasn't quite sure where the station was. I saw a woman striding across the street who looked like a likely source of directions, and hailed her. "Where do I catch the 1,2 or 3? I said. She began asking me about my final destination and suggesting the best entrance on Broadway when it dawned on me: Cynthia Nixon. A pyrate-puppet ro...

Waiting For a Train: The Most Beautiful Chair Ever!
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008/07/most-beautiful-chair-ever.html
Waiting For a Train. Monday, July 7, 2008. The Most Beautiful Chair Ever! A few years ago I bought two Knoll chairs. On Craigslist from a guy who was moving to Thailand. I think it was like $75 for both. The orange one, which was sitting in the living room for a few years, started to get mighty dingy. I thought about having it reupholstered, and called Welsh Upholstery. I'm so glad I did. The fabric is called Eclat Weave. July 24, 2008 at 11:59 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Waiting For a Train: September 2007
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Waiting For a Train. Sunday, September 23, 2007. I love living in San Francisco, one of the more densely populated. Neighborhoods in one of the more densely populated cities in the country. One of the best things about it is all of the random encounters I have with people. I've lived here a long time, so I have a lot. I thought I'd share the random encounters I've had in the last week or so. On the 33 Stanyan. On the K Line. I saw another resident from my former job in housing. She is a manicurist in...

Waiting For a Train: October 2007
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Waiting For a Train. Monday, October 22, 2007. The silver lining to this cloud is that we have so many supportive people in our lives. I know that will help us get through to the adoption that does work. I think you know the answer to that. Today, we're going to drown our sorrows in a movie or a walk in the park, and I guess tomorrow we'll get back into life. Saturday, October 13, 2007. We have a lot of moments of truth in front of us. There is the moment of truth of being the witness and companion t...

Waiting For a Train: East Coast Highlights, Part One
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008/06/east-coast-highlights-part-one.html
Waiting For a Train. Saturday, June 28, 2008. East Coast Highlights, Part One. Just got back from nine days on the East Coast; a conference in Philadelphia, a couple of day's at my sister and brother in law's house in South Jersey, and three glorious days in NYC. Here are some of the best parts:. I got to check out my nephew Jay's first post-collegiate place of his own in the lovely Fairmount. Neighborhood of Philly. Aww. On YouTube for fun. Dinner with Jay and colleagues at La Viola. Which is a lovely r...

Waiting For a Train: September 2008
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Waiting For a Train. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Usually, I like to blog to tease the interesting things out of everyday life, or to celebrate something new and novel that is happening to me. Of course, the understanding is that my life is fairly routine, and the unique is to be seized. But what happens when every day becomes unique? When scores of experiences happen for the first time, all in a week? In my case, I stop to take it all in, and stop blogging. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life In the Bend.

Waiting For a Train: February 2008
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Waiting For a Train. Wednesday, February 20, 2008. A Little of This. I really wanted to make a grid of photos on my blog. I even got help from Mati. Who makes the best photo grids ever. But something was wrong with the Flickr code for making badges. So I'm going to have to try it again, when I'm feeling less sick and more patient and techie-like. In the meantime, I'm including some photos I took around our apartment, which would have looked a lot cooler in a grid. We just haven't adopted yet, and we were...

Waiting For a Train: December 2007
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Waiting For a Train. Sunday, December 23, 2007. Understand Corrosion to Prevent It. T is done with finals, so tonight we went out to dinner (at Chevy's, for some strange reason) and to see the movie Juno. Unless you've been living on Mars, you know that Juno is a well-reviewed film about a teenage girl who gets pregnant and chooses adoptive parents for her child. It really was as good as all that- every scene between Ellen Page. Brought a well-earned lump to my throat. Corrosion failures produce accident...

Waiting For a Train: Points West
http://waitingforatrain-linda.blogspot.com/2008/07/points-west.html
Waiting For a Train. Wednesday, July 23, 2008. Tod and I took a journey through Washington, Idaho and Montana. Puget Sound from the ferry to West Seattle. Dick and Jane's folk art environment. Which we stumbled across in Ellensburg, Washington. A window in Missoula, Montana. A mysterious sign in strip-mall Missoula. Between Missoula and Great Falls. When this Montana state trooper gave us a $20 speeding ticket, he said to T "hey, I think I just gave your dad a ticket! Plays Ring of Fire. O haire motor inn.

Poetry and essays about spirit, muck and other things that coincide. Sunday, March 18, 2018. Skipping down the road. Past and out of sight, wrong way? Leaf down one-way street. If tear or rage.
