Monday, June 20, 2011. Carolina In My Mind. Thursday-Sunday was the quintessential Carolina weekend! In typical William fashion, he fetched. Me a gingerale from the bar, and provided. Me with Dramamine. What a sweetheart. Thursday night I went on the UNC Alumni Cruise around Manhattan. While I was rather seasick, it was still fun to see friends, and be surrounded by Tarheels! Katie and me with the Statue of Liberty. Yes we were that close! Jackson and Olivia are so special to me. Our weekend in a nutshell.

We were on the 5th hour of auditioning, and had probably hit 3 or 4 that day. She looked at me and said, "You know how sometimes you go to the movies and after all the previews you can't even remember what you originally went to see? That's how I feel about auditions. My sister Julie and her three kids flew to Utah for 12 days, and we had such a blast spending time with them! We did a lot of driving (my parent's house is about 1.5 hours away from us) and a lot of playing. It was totally worth it! Scott was a saint, and for 2 days, he watched all 6 kids while we were out. The first day, we had a girl's day in Provo and then headed home for our "Favorite Things" party.

Macey's loved hers until they just wore out into holes.and then eventually nothing! We gave him his fluoride at bath time, so it wouldn't change his clothes, but he had a bad habit of sucking on the tags of these blankies. She looked entirely too cute, and I thought the pictures fit Macey perfectly! We had the option of taking pictures in both costumes, but Macey loathes her purple costume and loves her pink one! Her purple costume is actually a size smaller than her pink one. I loosened her purple costume's straps 3 inches on each side, but they still dig into her shoulders!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited Macey was to see it! We watched the movie a couple nights before we went. In fact, the entire week before, Macey would ask if we were going to see "Racing Cars" (it took us a long time to figure out she was talking about "The Wizard of Oz"!
