My life, my world. December 18, 2014. April 14, 2015. Ziro and its people and culture. Myoko – a socio-religious festival of Apatani community – will begin from 20th March. That’s just over two months away. The activity has already started. Some clans have already fetched their Babo. Today it was our turn. Tamo-Roto Babo on her way to Bamin village. Some more exercise, little merrymaking before lunch. Nico, a Frenchman, took the second prize in the high jump competition. 🙂. The roses and the thorns.

My Soulless Hometown | In their midst
https://rotochobin.wordpress.com/2015/04/15/my-soulless-hometown
My life, my world. April 15, 2015. May 13, 2015. Biro slightly opened the window to take a look at his hometown. The topography of the valley appeared quite straightforward to him from the bus. He was returning to his hometown, after a long gap of 8 years, and it didn’t seem to him that much had changed. The small town was still bearing the same old sleepy sombre look. The drizzling afternoon rain was also throwing some additional gloom to its appearance. He didn’t expect any of his relatives to re...

My life, my world. Articles posted by Chobin. A slice of memories. May 6, 2015. May 11, 2015. This short story is actually a continuance of. My Soulless Hometown . However, I’ve tried to create it as an individual story of it own. Hope you’ll like it. Obiro felt uncomfortable when he suddenly became aware of the prying eyes of the shopkeepers, who were standing outside their shops, eagerly waiting for the buyers to grace their shops and watched the people passing by. Obiro chuckled to himself while handi...

Tehran’s streets – Bring your passport
https://miladmaymay.wordpress.com/2012/08/20/tehrans-streets
August 20, 2012. July 14, 2014. Tehran, Iran, has probably the busiest streets I have seen in my travels. Although it may not be evident from the photos below, it is quite normal to sit in traffic a whole afternoon, wait in line at a bank for hours or be “pinballed” around at the bazaar. I like radishes……. Haven’t seen one of these Renaults since the eighties…. 2 for 1 pizza is available everywhere in the world…. 4 thoughts on “ Tehran’s streets. August 20, 2012 at 3:47 pm. I love the radish cart! Blog a...

Southwest Cornbread | BRING ME MY OVEN MITTS
https://christinamillerblog.wordpress.com/2013/01/31/southwest-cornbread
BRING ME MY OVEN MITTS. Strat Comm student at Oklahoma State. January 31, 2013. Guys this is the spicy edition of Bring Me My Oven Mitts! This recipe comes straight from my culinary genius mother. She added green chiles to this recipe, but she never made it like that when I was at home haha. But she literally doesn’t even know how to make bad food, so you should definitely try this one out for yourself if chiles are your thing! 1 cup stone ground corn meal. 1 egg, beaten. 3 tsp baking powder. Sift togeth...

The Ginger Cat | In their midst
https://rotochobin.wordpress.com/2015/04/13/the-ginger-cat
My life, my world. April 13, 2015. May 13, 2015. Enj Adwga wasn’t very fond of cat. Yet he didn’t mind all his neighbors’ cats’ occasional visit to his house. He disliked them especially during the mating season when they would wail into the night, much like the cries of human babies, in search of a sexual mate. It used to send shivers down to his spine. Benj decided not to interfere and remained where he was, as an observant. Benj couldn’t understand why the cat landed on drain rather than on surf...
