Life on the edge. of the jungle. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. On the way home, G suggested we take a minor detour and take a look at the Chalillo Dam. Tom and I have lived here for over seven years - with "here" being not just Belize, but in the Mountain Pine Ridge area - and we have driven to Caracol countless times, but we have never bothered to take the 10 minute detour to get a look at the dam. Life on the edge. of the jungle. Friday, March 21, 2014. We spent a relaxing couple of days traveling through Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula before catching a morning flight to Orlando on Tuesday. We took the 10:30 ADO bus from Chetumal to Playa del Carmen on Sunday morning, which got us into Playa around 3PM. Life on the edge. of the jungle. Friday, November 29, 2013. The road, continued. Thursday, November 21, 2013. Apparently there is no such thing as red grout, at least in Belize. We hit four different tile stores, and none had it, so I finally surrendered and settled for this greenish blue that matches the background color in the border tile. Now that it's up, I like it, and am glad they don't have red since it probably would have been too much. One step closer to a finisher kitchen! The sun came out!

JOURNEY'S END JULY 24, 2010. We drove home today- -only 387 miles! We got home at 2 PM which meant we had a very hot house. I had turned the AC off when we left. What a job it was to unload the car!
