We have come to the conclusion she's doing this because she is constantly whinging to be picked up during the day, so spends most of the time being carried around, on account of the fact she's not walking yet, at almost 18 months - I am not worried, just exhausted and frustrated. It's going to be lovely to have some warmth and sunshine and just enjoy some time together without running from one thing to the next. Alexander is going from strength to strength, his teacher is very happy with him, particularly his reading, and he seems to have settled in well at school after a few months of testing the boundaries. Alexander sometimes has me cruising around YouTube for Thunderbirds or (lately) Star Wars clips, and I came across this little Star Trek montage today. I loved the footage of the old Star Trek when William Shatner was young and handsome before he turned into the incomparable Denny Crane, haha! The music just took my breath away and it's so extremely simple and effective.

But I thought it might be time for a quick update. Two weeks before Easter I finished "Rollicking Rhymes", a commission for the Elanée Ensemble of viola and double bass, Jo St Leon and Stuart Thomson. Wonderful, wonderful players! We are investigating the use of Chinese folk tunes within new Australian compositions for pipa. And piano....

Har ej kunnat blogga på ett tag, då det ju hänt lite saker här :) Lilla Linn kom till världen den 8 maj (två veckor för tidigt, precis som sin storebror), 53 cm lång och 3640g tung. Fick bli kejsarsnitt då hon låg med "the sunny side up", dvs hon hade ansiktet riktat mer uppåt, och hade på så vis fastnat lite. Men, allt gick bra, och jag fick enligt rutin vara kvar några extra dagar på sjukhuset. 8 maj på kvällen, Linn vilar på mitt bröst:). Nog mer intresserad av teven.:). Vi ska ve...
