http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2012/10/miwa-chans-visit-to-saipan.html
Our life on Saipan. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Miwa chan's Visit to Saipan! Within 2 weeks of hanging out together in Tokyo, Miwa chan came to visit us in Saipan for five days in September! We had non-stop parties for her tropical holiday. The first night, we went to the Camacho's for an island dinner. With freshly cut coconuts with rum inside, we were ready for our island feast! Miwa and Russ played against Betty and Tim. Although Miwa hasn't played a lot of pool, she had tons of fun! Go, Big E! After th...

Saipan Quinn: XTERRA Guam Race Report
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2014/04/xterra-guam-race-report.html
Our life on Saipan. Friday, April 4, 2014. XTERRA Guam Race Report. I ventured to Guam alone as Russ had to a work camping trip last weekend so I was a bit nervous about preparing for the race alone. Two days before the race, I got on the bike course, where the infamous red dirt covers at least 10km of the bike course through its hills and drops. It was delicious and I'm sure it helped me feel good throughout the race. The run portion was the last part and I ran/walked through the jungle/river course....

Saipan Quinn: Niseko ~ A Winter Wonderland!
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2013/01/niseko-winter-wonderland.html
Our life on Saipan. Friday, January 18, 2013. Niseko A Winter Wonderland! We were graced with 4 days of gorgeous blue skies, which is somewhat unusual so these photos were quite picturesque. The red house is called the 1000 meter hut and serves coffee and snacks. To the right, is the breathtaking view of Mt. Yotei, known as the Mt. Fuji of the North. On another night, we took the Night-Go bus to Kutchan to eat at Yotei-Maru sushi, the rotary sushi place, which serves great fresh sushi! This year, we stay...

Saipan Quinn: Fantasy Island at Red Cross' Club 200
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2011/10/fantasy-island-at-red-cross-club-200.html
Our life on Saipan. Monday, October 31, 2011. Fantasy Island at Red Cross' Club 200. This year's American Red Cross 200's theme was "Fantasy Island", based on the old TV series which aired from the late 70's to the mid 80's. We arrived at the Fiesta Resort and were welcomed by "Mr. Rourke and Tattoo". The chair they used was similar to the one from the original as shown below. Tina and I posed with the Saipan. Mr Roarke and Tattoo. Russ and Tim dressed up in the island theme with aloha wear. July 7 - Jul...

Saipan Quinn: Nozawa Onsen Trip
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2014/03/nozawa-onsen-trip.html
Our life on Saipan. Friday, March 14, 2014. It's been way too long since I've blogged. There must be a "season" for blogging and a season to remain silent. Life comes in waves of adventures and activity and we've enjoyed the first 2.5 months of 2014. Wow, it's gone by fast! Gardner had arranged the accommodation for us and we shared the Lodge with a few other groups, one being a famous New Zealand Band called Shapeshifter! They were performing that weekend in Hakuba for the Snow Splash. Nozawa Onsen is c...

Saipan Quinn: Saipan Sportsfest
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2009/04/saipan-sportsfest.html
Our life on Saipan. Thursday, April 23, 2009. Saipan Sportsfest is the week between XTERRA and Tagaman. It's a great way to showcase our beautiful island to visitors. After living here for 17 years, we've heard from many off island guests that Saipan is a remarkable place, full of friendly faces, island hospitality and beautiful scenery all around. Bill Sakovich joined us for the night bike ride on Tuesday evening and he did great! No falls, Jeannie! Thank you for organizing the 6th Annual Xterraist hash!

Saipan Quinn: Cheers!
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2014/05/cheers.html
Our life on Saipan. Friday, May 16, 2014. Blogging has its seasons and for the last year since our last trip to Europe, the frequency of my blogs have waned considerably. It's not that I don't have topics on my mind or ideas to communicate, but it's overlooked as my days are filled with other things. The days turn into weeks and then to months. It's already mid May and the year is flashing by. After our Christmas /New Year's holiday in Niseko, it's go-go-go with events and activities galore. Spin classes...

Saipan Quinn: Remembering Audra Winkfield
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2009/07/remembering-audra-winkfield.html
Our life on Saipan. Friday, July 3, 2009. One thing I learned this week is that we have a choice each day to be grateful for life and appreciate others or be pessimistic and complain. I know which one I choose. You just never know when your life on earth will end. Audra is celebrating her new life in Heaven now and we know she would have been proud of her family during this tragedy. Audra served as a Senior Airman in the US Airforce. This beautiful photo showcases her awesome,. So many friends have comme...

Saipan Quinn: Marianas Trench Marine National Monument
http://saipanquinn.blogspot.com/2009/01/marians-trench-marine-national-monument.html
Our life on Saipan. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. I may not have been a strong Bush supporter, but he has, in the last days of his office, invoked the Antiquities Act of 1906 to preserve a vast area of the ocean in our neighborhood, which are the islands north of Saipan and the 5 mile deep Marianas Trench to our east. It's a time to celebrate environmental conservation and hope that with greater awareness, tourism to the Marianas will expand. View my complete profile.
