the dummermuth family: Camp: Year Two.
http://thedummermuths.blogspot.com/2015/07/camp-year-two.html
Saturday, July 11, 2015. Well, this time last week we were on our way to Pennsylvania to drop the older two girls off at camp. And this time next week we will be on our way home with them! Is something that the girls have talked about ALL YEAR and I am just thrilled that they have been as in love with it as I was growing up. They are in the same cabin again this year, which they weren't actually thrilled about but I'm sure it will be great. How big are they getting? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

the dummermuth family: October 2014
http://thedummermuths.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. I know, I know. I've been quiet on here lately. It has just been that type of season in my life. BUT. One of the things that I have been working on while not blogging is up and going and I'm super excited about it. I've gotten so many compliments over the years on my family's Christmas stockings (which you may or may not know took me a long time to settle. And now that I have worked my hands into cramps the last few weeks, here's my shop…. So, check them out! We have had an a...

And these almonds? 8531; cup sugar. 1 ½ tablespoons poppy seeds. 1 ½ tablespoons sesame seeds. 189; teaspoon paprika. 2 teaspoons dried mustard. Place a larg...

How to Survive the Holidays: A Guide for Secular Families. Posted on April 22, 2015. I often feel that convergence most strongly during holidays all of them, not just Christmas as, by definition, they usually evoke religion and tradition. To that end, here are some suggestions for parents looking to repackage traditional holidays as more secular celebrations:. Find gems in the nonsense. Borrow or re-define traditions as needed. As I was growing up, I remember how debilitating the abrupt end of the drawn-...

the dummermuth family: OUR BOOKSHELF
http://thedummermuths.blogspot.com/p/our-book-shelf.html
Since I have blogged quite a bit about our love of books, I figured it was time that our books had their own little place on the blog. This, of course, is hardly a list of all of our favorites and there are a number of books included that are only one part of a series, all of which are worth reading, but it's a good list to start with! So pick a couple of these up and enjoy what we have on our shelves! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). BLOGS OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS. Days with the baby.

the dummermuth family: ADOPTION
http://thedummermuths.blogspot.com/p/adoption.html
From day one, as my husband and I discussed having a family, adoption was always a part of the conversation. In 2008, our family was blessed with the adoption of our son, Nathan, from the small African nation of Rwanda. And currently we are in the process of adopting a little girl from Burundi (little country directly south of Rwanda). Adoption is a part of who we are. A really really good part. If you would like to read about our journey, feel free to check out our adoption blog. Days with the baby.

Friday, December 12, 2014. It's been a while since I posted a recipe that we love and I figured this recipe of Peppermint Bars from McCormick. Slightly adjusted because I don't like following directions) was the perfect Christmas-y one to share! To say that these are yummy is just unfair. They. Are. Glorious. Oh man, my mouth is watering just thinking about them. Make them. Today if possible. 1 package (family-size) fudge brownie mix. 2 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar. 1 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream. Microw...
