Our first 2 spots were iced in so we found a new spot and it turned out ok. Lots of ducks flying, we managed 2 mallards a Black Duck and John got a nice drake Gadwall. I fished today out of Fair Harbor with Ben Atkins (top right) and his pal Jeff and their sons Leo, Ezra and Levi (left to right). W e had a good time fluke fishing and had a quality fish of 4.5 pounds and a bunch of sea robbins.The kids had a good time and the dads took good care of them. Upload a Fishing Report. Upload a Hunting Report. Charter Capt. Al. May 20th, 2014. Today I fished with George and we had a good day of fishing. I would say the bass run in Fire Island is happening. We had nice fish up to 28 pounds on live bait. No monsters but good fish in clean water and on the feed. The bluefish are out of control. All you shark guys should get out in the bay or inlet and load up for shark bait. . We rounded out the day with some blowfish, fluke and all the bluefish we could handle.

Caught 2 miles south of Fire Island Light House under bunker pods on a live bunker. Angler: Maximus Albanese 14 years old (with help from dad after 2 hours). Today with Jim, Jerry and Meilin Jerome we came across a 40 pound striped bass under attack from a hammerhead shark in 30 feet of water just south of Moses field 5. The small hammerhead had just chewed on the tail and the bass was disabled and floating on the surface. We baited the shark two times but he broke off both times. It was fun and a great sight to see. What happened to the bass?
