Last person to see the Hobbit: BOFA, finally reporting in - Gillian. 30 December 2014 @ 10:45 pm. Last person to see the Hobbit: BOFA, finally reporting in. So at long last I got around to seeing the final film from PJ's Middle-Earth. Here are ten things I liked about the film, listed in random order:. Luke Evans' Bard; he managed to inject some very welcome humanity into all the CGI brouhaha. Nuclear Galadriel. I liked seeing her truly use her powers. The end credit portraits. :). I wondered the same th...

Desolation of Smaug review - mild, not heavy, spoilers - Pearl's House of Dreams

Pearls House of Dreams. My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes. Desolation of Smaug review - mild, not heavy, spoilers. Jan 7th, 2014 at 1:06 PM. Hunger Games: Catching Fire' is probably a better film than 'Desolation of Smaug'. I will definitely watch the third instalment of 'Hunger Games' - Jennifer Lawrence is a most compelling heroine and I want to see that evil and depraved regime come crashing down in flames. Viva la revolution! In the Professor’s imaginary world, unlike PJ's Middle-earth.

Pearls House of Dreams. My life is a perfect graveyard of buried hopes. David Tennant in Richard II. Feb 20th, 2014 at 1:26 PM. I took this photo of the stage before the performance began. The effect of the great Cathedral was wonderfully created through extremely clever lighting effects. A great evening. I adore theatre when it's this good. Now for Cumberbatch in Hamlet, when the tickets go on sale . 13 comments Leave a comment. Feb 20th, 2014 03:21 pm (UTC). Feb 20th, 2014 08:10 pm (UTC). That's on DVD...

The Hobbit: My first off-the-cuff reactions! 13 December 2012 @ 10:05 pm. The Hobbit: My first off-the-cuff reactions! Just came back from watching The Hobbit. I was smiling with glee as I exited the theatre, - obviously a good sign. The movie wasn't perfect, but I am much less invested in this than I was in LotR, and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Here are my first reactions to the movie, under a cut as there are spoilers. The sheer vast epicness of Middle-Earth. The landscapes! And the cosy clutter! I love...
