Extraordinary jewellery celebrating and commemorating life. PENDANT WITH TWO RAVENS, CARVED FROM JET. When my client's husband died she wanted a significant pendant to house some of his ashes. We explored symbols and events in their long partnership. Ravens were chosen as they were always present in their lives and represent the passion her husband had for pushing boundaries and achieving above the expected. The ravens have eyes of pearl for tears and the ring of the pendant is the husband's wedding ring.

Extraordinary jewellery celebrating and commemorating life. In 1976 in Maling Road Canterbury a dream was realized, when with a partner I began what was to emerge as Marion Marshall Studios. In a quaint location where rents were affordable my first shop sported a Marimeko blind and an attitude of anything is possible. Today I own the building in North Fitzroy, and have a wonderful team of Robert and Michael both fully qualified jewellers. We three have worked together since 2002. Stones are sacred things.

Many cultures and religions use the counting and movement of beads to keep one’s place in structured prayers and to keep connected spiritually. My hands are always busy, my mind moves from contemplation to construction and back again, circling. I use a circle of beads as a mantra to slow the breath and still the mind.
