Sunday, May 13, 2012. It's pretty different this time around. Gone are the long naps after work while Tom cooks dinner. Gone too are the limits on avoiding picking up - for example- a 33lbs toddler. But no one gave me snuggles like Holly does to make me feel better when I was laying on the couch the last time around ("want another snuggle, mama? And no one would explain to people at dinner that "mama can't drink wine cause she has a little tiny baby growing in her tummy and babies don't drink wine!

Saturday, August 27, 2011. I'm still amazed at how much Holly changes from day-to-day, minute-to-minute but I'll try to keep my parental gushing brief. First off, to all those who are concerned we weathered Irene with only 6 hours of lost power and a few lost tree branches from our lovely oaks. We received quite a few messages of concern (which were very sweet) from those who seem to not realize that we're nowhere near the beach. We're more than 4 hours drive from the sea! Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Annoucing our new family member, Poca (the dog). She's 1.5 years old. A Brittany Spaniel/Lab mix. She's a rescue dog from Chapel Hill. She likes chewing, running, licking, Bully Sticks. And belly rubs. She and Holly are now the best of friends. I wish I could say the same for Cubbie (the cat). Tuesday, October 25, 2011. 2 year visit- the stats. Holly went in for her 2 year visit today. She's officially 3 feet tall (36 inches) which has her in the 95th percentile for height. She's 29lbs 12 oz (80th percentile for weight). She's very healthy! The photo is unrelated to the visit. She's laying in the sleeping bag we bought her to take her camping. It was on super sale and since it's even longer than she is, we figured it would be ok to buy a bit early. Sunday, October 23, 2011. Two - the photos.

Sunday, July 10, 2011. We've been busy little bees lately! I'm preparing for my upcoming international trip. Tom's preparing to take his last ARE. And all this on top of the usual work, house, exercise, Holly, etc. duties. I need to head to sleep soon but couldn't resist posting about our recent outdoor experiences. She enjoyed the ocean. A few weeks back, she's been loving the local swimming options, and she went out over 4th of July weekend in a paddle boat on a local lake. Monday, July 4, 2011.
