The Instrument Bank owns violins, violas, cellos and a string bass. The violins and cellos range in size from 1/4 to full size, with most of the violins being Suzuki-made and the cellos German. In the summer of 2010, SMA was able to upgrade some of the instruments with new strings, bows and cases. SMA branding was added to the new instrument cases so that they can be easily identified. This is an ongoing process and will continue as funds are available. The Instrument Bank is located in Halifax in the.

This year, the Multicultural Festival. Will take three days, from June 20 to June 22 (Friday-Sunday). Here is our list of activities:. Ales and exhibition booth. Long awaited Russian food booth. Presented by Yummi Deli. Eastern European dances by "Souvenir" folk dance ensemble. From the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. Gypsy, Hava Nagila, Spanish, Hungarian, Russian, Hopak) - Saturday, June 20, 2pm and later in the day during Official Opening Ceremony. The ceremony starts at 6pm.

Children New Year Party - 2016. Russian Society of the Maritimes organizes our traditional Children New Year Party - 2016. Date - December 19, 2015 (Saturday). Time - 4 pm - 6 pm. Location - Greek Orthodox Church (38 Purcells Cove Rd.). Grandfather Frost and Snowgirl. Kids of Russian School perfomance. Music, games, dancing, fun! Presents from Grandfather Frost.
