Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Week 35 and 36. Our baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in the womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Thursday, July 16, 2009. On Monday July 6th at 6 pm Charlotte was discharged from the NICU and I was discharged from Baylor Medical Center. Mark and I couldn't wait to take our baby home. This was the first time we got to hold our baby without her being attached to monitors. As usual she slept through this experience. Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Our baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Our baby we. PRAISE JESUS, I have no new tumors! In June Dr. Casas had noted 2-3 spots in question on my lungs, but those spots have shrunken or disappeared (he thinks the spots were due to having mono when the scans were last taken). Tuesday, August 19, 2008. Last Friday I had a follow-up CT scan on my lungs and everything came back normal. Two weeks ago was my last MRI and it came back clear and everything is healing well. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Happy ONE YEAR Anniversary to me! Today is my one year anniversary of being cancer free! The first 2 years are the most important, and I am 50% through that. Praise God for his provision and protection over this past year. What a blessed season I am in now. See the comparison below.
