Crystal & John: Gabby's Special Day
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2010/09/gabbys-special-day.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Gabby was very excited about her baptismal day - "it's my special day," was a frequent refrain, usually accompanied with a beatific smile. It was a great day and we were honored to have grandparents and friends attend to acknowledge Gabby's decision. We celebrated afterward with a chocolate party - chocolate cookies, chocolate brownies, chocolate cupcakes, and more chocolate. Gabby and Dad at the baptism. The whole family in the backyard. Kerry, Steve and the special girl.

Crystal & John: Primary Profiles
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2011/01/primary-profiles.html
Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Our kids - for primary - were asked to list a few things about themselves. Gabby hasn't gotten around to answering her questions because she's been too busy decorating the edges of the paper, but the boys provided some unique perspectives on wishes, likes and dislikes. Cade, Age 10:. If I had 3 wishes:. Purdue [I'm so proud]. Things I do not like:. Kellen, Age 4:. If I had 3 wishes:. Things I do not like:. Chores [which he almost never has to do]. Crystal & John: November 2009
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 16, 2009. Editors note: I wrote this originally for a quarterly newsletter for Intel Finance in Oregon. Marc thought I should share it with the rest of you. There are really only two plays:. And put the darn ball in the basket. - Abe Lemons. PS Don’t call me a Hoosier, that slur is reserved for the rednecks from the wrong part of the state. I grew up in Indiana and I am tall. My fate was pretty much sealed right there. She patiently indulges my passion – why is anyone’s guess. The rim wa...

Crystal & John: Wilson Valley Mall
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2010/09/wilson-valley-mall.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Gabby wanted a "shopping party" for her birthday this year and so her slightly insane mother re-created the mall experience at our house. Even more insanely, Crystal allowed Gabby to invite 14 friends to the party and all but one was able to come. I will admit that the party went off well and that the girls had fun, but I still question the 98 hour commitment to preparing the party. The first stop - the salon for pedicures. Next stop: the pretzel shop to make your snack.

Crystal & John: Back to School
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-to-school.html
Tuesday, September 21, 2010. With September comes the glorious return to school. The kids were decidedly less excited about it and frankly so was Crystal which was surprising since the kids were R-E-A-D-Y for some structure in their lives again. Kellen started school about a week after the big kids. He's already showing signs of being the class clown.at least in this picture. That's more like it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Crystal & John: N'Awlins
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2010/11/nawlins.html
Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Drew Brees at Intel's Supercomputer booth. And me. The Mississippi at night. The Hari Krishna had a parade while I was there. I thought that was kind of appropriate for New Orleans. St Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square. At Champions Square near the Superdome. Inside the Superdome - the view from our seats. Brees TD pass and some really shaky camera work. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Crystal & John: October 2009
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 25, 2009. With our ghoulish creations. Cade's Pumpkin - he requested a scary design. So did Gabby . . . Which meant that Kellen did too. Avery didn't have a choice so Mom chose a nice one. At least we managed to avoid our "traditional" vomiting jack-o-lantern this year. I also included a video Avery talking and blowing bubbles. . Thursday, October 1, 2009. 160;I don't know, I guess I just like Cade's natural smile and Kellen's enthusiasm. Kellen's First Day of School.

Crystal & John: February 2010
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 8, 2010. The 4th child always gets the best toys. A little unorthodox perhaps, but it works - she's even more proficient now and is officially a threat to anything left on the ground. If it fits in her mouth and is chewable even better. She can now sit up on her own and get to a sitting position from crawling. All our little superheroes show off their toughest poses. Kellen getting to the good stuff. Kellen gets into the ice cream. All the gang and their ice cream.

Crystal & John: September 2009
http://crystaljohn.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 9, 2009. First Day of School. Cade and Gabby ready to head out for the first day of school. Cade hits third grade and Gabby starts all-day school in first grade. They are both in 1-2-3 classes and are in adjoining pods so they can keep a lookout for each other. They both have lots of friends in their classes and like their teachers. This is the crowd the kids hang with at the busstop in the mornings. . Here are the adults - and look we're still talking to each other!
