Before the Turkey Flies. Pumpkins turned gratitude-turkeys for family night. I see I'd better get the October pictures posted before the next holiday rolls around. I couldn't think of a theme for our family to do Halloween costumes together, but it still kind of turned out to have a theme:. Bit like my kids? This ...

Little Girl Creates Big Fuss. There have been some big changes in our home this past week with the arrival of a little girl. Kimberly Rae was born August 9. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Sunday, April 8, 2012. Little sister come August. Anyhow, springtime is a season of new life: trees getting green buds, dormant flowers poking through the ground, baby animals being born, and the sunshine breaking through to give a feeling of being alive. How it is appropriate that we celebrate Easter in the spring, for Christ's resurrec...

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Monday, July 20, 2015. I love that my kids look forward to Merideth's birthday. Ever since we turned the calendar to July, they have been reminding me that we'll be going to the cemetery and getting ice cream. Throughout the evening Christian would also excitedly run to the headstone and shout, "Hi, Big Sister! As we walked around the cemete...

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Friday, September 16, 2011. What Do You Call This Boy? People ask if I see a difference between raising a boy and raising a girl. So far I haven’t noticed anything specific with Christian. I just attribute most of his antics to simply being a toddler. Yes, Christian is walking. He is definitely a little. And I enjoyed sharing our day together.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6). Tuesday, July 31, 2012. I’m not due until the middle of August, but Christian was 10 days early, so when the calendar turns over tomorrow, I feel like my days are numbered. The doctor asked me several weeks ago if I were interested in being induced. I have to say that I am not unbearably miserable. At any rate, my bag is packed and car seat ...
