Maya thought Mark was awfully cute, but Mark was interested in her friend (Mark denies this, but it’s totally true! The friend in question set us up as partners in a card tournament, and the rest is history!

Mugging for the camera over Christmas dinner. We missed being able to go apple picking when we lived in California…definitely a perk of being back in Ohio! Visiting a pumpkin patch is a “must-do” each fall. This year’s patch had a hayride, which was fun, though bumpy! Maya and her siblings at her brother’s wedding. Here’s our home! We have a herd of deer that come through our yard, and 2 black squirrels. This summer a mink even made an appearance, and ate most of our fish! The deck is one of Maya’s favorite things about the house! In the summer we have cookouts, the kids love to play on it while Maya makes dinner (right on the other side of the sliding screen door), and, as you can see in this picture, it’s a great size for camping out on! Fun facts about Mark and Maya. 8211; We dance in the driveway (or pretty much anywhere). Miles was nervous to ride the bus to preschool, but Maya realized that if we danced in the driveway while waiting for the bus, Miles felt comfortable going to school.
