Friday, December 24, 2010. Christmas in Saudi Arabia? Our cab driver ended up being Kurdish. The first Kurd I had ever met. He asked where we were from (he spoke very little English) and we told him America. He said "America! I was so surprised. Almost all foreigners tell me that they hate Bush. It was pretty funny. He said "Obama, so-so, Clinton, so-so., but Bush very good! And he would say "no teacher, did you eat chocolate? And he would say "I will in the future, maybe when I'm married." Good times.

Monday, November 29, 2010. Mada'in Salih, the Cursed City. I suspect that Mada'in Salih will possibly be the greatest thing I will see in this country. I loved everything about it. It is funny because when we were putting this whole trip together in Riyadh, our travel agent said "why do you want to go to Mada'in Salih? Wednesday, August 3, 2011. A few days ago was my final day of teaching English in Saudi Arabia. Things were pretty bad in the beginning, so much so that I was counting the days thinking "is this ever going to end? We had a potluck party (just like last semester) in our final week. The students brought food and some of their mothers and sisters made some good stuff for us. There was actually too much food. We had a good time. Everyone eating and relaxing.
