Assuming a big sized supermarket gets 500 shoppers everyday on a conservative side, the number of bags used by all of them is 2500 everyday. The total number of big sized stores across UK should be around 500 again. So the total bags used is 1,250,000 per day. In a year it should be more than 456,250,000.
