In Iraq today were meant to embarrass the White House, create a credibility crisis and get Americans to leave the country. Who knows? It might work. Mutilating bodies, dragging them through the streets and hanging them all or in part from a bridge and wires is as savage as one can expect to see from anyone. That is the message some Iraqis want to send to the world. Who among...

My $002 - - Observations From A Loitering Compatriot. Thoughts about communication issues in general with special consideration of Web 2.0, social networks, public relations and strategic marketing/positioning. Saturday, July 11, 2009. Did a follow up story about the contest for becoming a wine blogger/CMO for Murphy-Goode. I wrote about it on this blog. Nothing but a marketing gimmick? I don't know anything about the winery, nor do I know their products. I am not going to try them now.

http://eroi.blogspot.com/2009/02/email-enlightenment.html
Email Marketing News, Articles, and Strategies. Tuesday, February 03, 2009. Over the past 4 weeks, I have been interning at eROI with the marketing department. Naturally, I’ve developed an obsession and passion for all things interactive. While my experiences have been fun and beneficial I have not noticed a change in my day to day life . . . until this past weekend. Suddenly, I began to worry about the dreaded, hierarchy of messaging in my amateur email. Posted by: Robyn B at 11:02 AM. EROI RSS News Feed.

Email Marketing News, Articles, and Strategies. Wednesday, February 04, 2009. Are College Students Using Twitter? As a college student I've been using Twitter. For the past 2 months now and love it. At first, it was a struggle to understand what Twitter is and why I would want to use it. In the beginning, I just couldn't understand why I should micro-blog and why I should care about everyone's tweets. It got me thinking, what do my peers think about Twitter? You'll get us to tweet with you.

Why it is the fastest growing area of the blogosphere, and why we entered the photo-sharing business at a very good time. Saturday, September 25, 2004. Bnoopy is in fact turning out to be a great blog. Case in point: Persistence Pays, Part 2. Which tells some stories about the bulldog tenacity of Vinod Khosla, founder of Sun, who flew with his team to the headquarters of a corporation who had just rejected his offer and accepted a competitor's and sat in the lobby until they got an audience with the people who had just turned them down. Great stuff. Posted by Caterina Fake at 3:29 PM. Tuesday, September 21, 2004. Glocalizat...

Tuesday, October 05, 2004. Notes from Web 2.0. We're here at Web 2.0. In San Francisco. I'll take some notes here:. Business Models for RSS:. Authors, as always, being left behind? Will the market sort out the compensation for each of the constituencies - author, publisher, RSS service? Do the authors even care? I've heard the word "Kumbaya" twice now to describe something touchy-feely, let's all hold hands. Dialing on the App Tone. At this point the sessions began and I stopped taking notes.

Bizwerk: Mashup Camp
http://bizwerk.blogspot.com/2005/12/mashup-camp.html
Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Is spearheading an 'unconference' initiative called 'Mashup Camp'. A lot of the so-called "Web 2.0" conferences have a traditional top-down talking head format, and he thinks that if all the hackers came, brought their laptops and hunkered down together for a few days, some great new things could be built, connections made, ideas spawned. I love it! Watch the Mashup Camp. Site (nothing there yet) for future details. Posted by Caterina Fake at 5:30 PM. Subscribe to my feed.
