http://reneeclaire.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 19, 2011. Whippits, Rainbow Feathers and The Groan Zone. Not completely out of the ordinary for my town, where every afternoon I see a street artist cycle homeward fully dressed as a Japanese inspired painting complete with oversized wooden frame, white face paint, and long Kimono. At such times most people don't have the slightest notion of what's happening. Sometimes the mere act of acknowledging the existence of the Groan Zone can be a signficant step for a group to take.". The already de...

https://neilpayne.wordpress.com/2008/07/20/springbreak
A tourist in a city from a tourist city. Spring break, summer, fall in xela. Guatemala has a reputation as a land of eternal spring, but there are two recognized seasons. summer is the dry season and winter the wet. Fortunately, the rainy season here is not bad. every day, bearing a storm passing thru, there is a good stretch of sunshine or at least a break in the rainfall. The rainy season starts at the end of may and every summer there are two weeks of canicula (sp? Almost no rain and a bit more warmth.

A tourist in a city from a tourist city. Is one of the most impressive sites for seeing mayan ruins, in the world. some people know of it because it was used in the ewok scenes in star wars.🙂. One of my room-mates in xela has a friend visiting from the states and i’m tagging along with them to see tikal and semuc champey. It’s nice to step away from my routine in the city which has been a bit more busy lately between volunteering, dj-ing and a bit of work at an internet cafe. 11 May 2008 at 9:55 am.

A tourist in a city from a tourist city. Yoga house, here i come. I’m moving again! The apartment i’ve been living in has been really nice, but there are a few rules that got me looking to move along. We had a dinner party for my room-mate s birthday that ended up being a little bigger than planned (about 25 people showed up) but still ended by 11 pm. our landlord, who lives there, told me the next day we couldn’t have any more parties. bummer! One thought on “ yoga house, here i come. Culture shock, bac...

https://neilpayne.wordpress.com/2008/08/07/reading-list
A tourist in a city from a tourist city. I got this from my sister’s blog. feel free to give me recommendations to read, whether it’s a book from this list or not. I was rarely a reader while growing up and often found creative ways to do book reports. I try not to have regrets, but do realize i’m not well-read and am a slow reader. that being said, let’s get to the post…. Here’s how it works:. 1) Look at the list and bold those you have read. 2) Italicize those you intend to read. 21 Gone With The Wind ...
