gabrielle & philip's type face a week: December 2009
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, 27 December 2009. This week - the temperature plummeted! We'ev been driving around (according to our car's thermometer) in -8 degree temperatures! We've heard that up in Nethybridge that it's got to -16 or so degrees. cold cold cold! It's been snowing on and off too - and it's lying, so that's great news for us snow lovers! Up the hills soon - and off sledging with Poppy - just what you need for Christmas time! Anyway, enjoy this last font from Gabi. Sunday, 20 December 2009. Well, we've all hear...
gabrielle & philip's type face a week: 48 - citySquare
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009/12/48-citysquare.html
Tuesday, 8 December 2009. I don't know if you know, but Aberdeen is currently undergoing some rather troublesome times financially. the Council get the least amount of funding from the Scottish Government than any where else in Scotland (per capita). it's because we're seen as a "rich city" - thanks to the wonderful oil industry. you see, we have more millionaires than anywhere else (per square mile) outside of Chelsea. ( apparently. So, as we're told it's thanks to the oil industry, Aberdeen lives.
gabrielle & philip's type face a week: 47 - fading
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009/11/47-fading.html
Sunday, 29 November 2009. We've been swamped recently.so much on, so much to do, so many jobs getting in the way of our fun fun fun. We've neglected the TPYF project for several weeks now - a real shame! So, this week's typeface is inspired by our neglect - the fact that we're fading just before the end. we've only got a few more typefaces to go before 2010! And we can't give up now! We'll be back on track in December - back to the one a week downloads. as planned wayyyy back at the start of the year!
gabrielle & philip's type face a week: March 2009
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 March 2009. We know it's spring.and the apples are still the brushings of a bees legs - but we're excited.about growth - change - new possibilities. so as a tribute to our new found energy and sense of growth - Gabi has created a rather cool typeface based on apples. This typeface has no uppercase - but as you can see - looks rather good as a spindly, Tim Burton-esque tribute. We'll be using it in the Small Stories range. Sunday, 22 March 2009. At Limousine Bull - March 20 - 29 th. Isn't it wo...
gabrielle & philip's type face a week: July 2009
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 27 July 2009. This week's typeface is by a guest contributor, Mobius Engine. A force for mystery and restraint, Mobius Engine has sent us "Untitled". A Man of minimal (and very well chosen) words - no information has been sent - nor image to "showcase". so we decided to add a simple 400*400 image (with his snazzy logo too! And these minimal words to hopefully get you to dip your toe in the mysterious world of the Mobius Engine. Or leave a comment below! Sunday, 19 July 2009. It's a bold, Saul Bass.
gabrielle & philip's type face a week: 49 - tired travel
http://typefaceaweek.blogspot.com/2009/12/49-tired-travel.html
Monday, 14 December 2009. 49 - tired travel. We have just come back from Newcastle, a cultural battery re-charge before Christmas (and some Christmas shopping). We had hoped to update the blog when we were down there.but some technical difficulties gave us a big fail.never mind. we got on with relaxing! We drove down on Sunday and pretty much did the journey in a one-er.so I was pretty beat. which gave me inspiration for this typeface. The idea is simple, roads.roads and roads! 49 - tired travel. Gabis O...
