Digital Imaging photo competition. Professional Photographers of America started a digital-only photo competition back when digital photography was still a new thing. Already hosting the prestigious Print Competition, it was viewed as a way to get members more involved in the competition space, especially with the advent of the digital camera prevelance, and online submission capabilities becoming the norm. The Benefits of Membership. Professional Photographers of America has a very large member base, along with a large amount of benefits provided to their members.
