Our second-to-last stretch was a short one, two nights out from Franklin, NC (around a rather circituitous and, in retrospect, avoidable loop) to Hiawassee, GA — 2010 November 24-26. The morning in Franklin was overcast, but as we drove up to the gap (shuttled by the motel), we broke into sunlight; until late morning, our views were of peaks through a sea of clouds.

Files); 7578 shutter actuations (judging by the image sequence numbers), for an 84% in-camera keep rate, and an average of about 70 photos a day or surprisingly close to π per A.T. mile. Track data from 93 days (excepting a few zeroes) of travel — this one amazing to me for its compactness, a mere 25.3MB of XML.
