Mark Juby

Thursday, 1 March 2018. Still practising with the Artisan water-mixable oil paints. This one measures approximately 12" by 8" and was painted from a photograph on Daler and Rowney Georgian oil painting paper. It was started at Lancing Art Club when I thought it was a hellebore. Shows how much I know about flowers. Thursday, 15 February 2018. Still using our Oz adventure as inspiration. This is based on an excellent reference photograph from John Atkinson. A nice memory of much warmer times. This is the f...

Mark Juby: August 2015

http://markjuby.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Friday, 28 August 2015. Wanda swims off to a new home. It is just like buses. No sales for a while and then two in the same week. Hopefully Wanda will be happy in her new home. Wednesday, 5 August 2015. This was another painting that took some time to finish. Originally, it was intended for submission to the Littlehampton Open. Now I am not so sure. It was painted with Conte hard and soft pastels om Sennelier Pastel Card. It measures approx 12" by 8". Maybe it will be lifted by framing?

Mark Juby: November 2014

http://markjuby.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 19 November 2014. Learning from my experience with the roller, this was painted with a palette knife onto a background created using the roller. It measures 11.5" by 13.5" and was painted with Atelier Interactive acrylics on Bockingford paper. It took rather longer than 30 seconds. Just for the record it measures 17" by 22" and could be with you in time for Christmas. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Saturday, 25 July 2015. A big thank you to Rick who arranged for 5 of my paintings to go on display at one of the galleries taking part in this event. The top picture shows Irises and Raindrops on Hosta. The middle picture shows The Wave, Scotch on the Rocks and Saffron. The lower picture shows the six works Rick is exhibiting. They will be exhibited until 08 August 2015. Let's hope for some sales. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Iris Fire and Iris Ice Capades. View my complete profile.

Mark Juby: May 2015

http://markjuby.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 27 May 2015. Finally managed to finish this one. It measures approx 9" by 12", and was painted with St Petersburg White Nights watercolour paint on Daler Rowney Aquarelle 300 gsm paper. A little body colour was used for the droplets. The reference was an excellent photograph from PaintMyPhoto.com. Wednesday, 20 May 2015. Saturday, 2 May 2015. An excellent session on reflections at Sky Blue this week. This one exposed my lingering Jaguar envy. It made Painting of the Week.

Pastor Mark Juane

The problem with religion is that it kills the imagination. It insists on conformity not creativity. The Gospel restores the humanity that God originally intended for us all; a humanity that reflects the image of God in us. Religion destroys that image by insisting that we should all be the same. We must fight for our imagination. We must fight for our creativity. We must fight for our humanity. Friday, December 23, 2016. A Challenge to Pastors. What if we show Jesus as an actual person we follow? 8213; ...

The Captain's Log. What is the Church? July 8, 2014. I thought that this blog post by Neil Cole was so brilliant, I needed to post it here in its entirety. Think deeply on what he’s taking about. How we behave comes from who we think we are. What is the church? The predominate way of seeing the church today contains, conforms and controls the people. The biblical pictures of the NT are all about releasing and reproducing the life of the church, not managing and controlling financial interests. While the ...

Mark Juanitas | I am a Web & Graphics Designer

Ready for what’s next. For my entire life, I love doing anything and everything creative. And even now at the age of 30 my imagination is still rooted in the world of comics, heroes and fantasy. I will always be a kid at heart. And in the creative industry it allowed me to challenge that imagination and begin translating it into a reality. I hope you take time exploring the works in this portfolio. Thanks for visiting and take care! What people say about mark. Owner of Promote You Now. Mark is a pleasure...
