The online home of Mark Justice,writer and broadcaster. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Last weekend I participated in a local Halloween Storytelling Festival. I wrote a children's ghost story for the event and read it live, along with Tammie Womack and Geoff Moore providing award-worthy performances in bringing two of the characters alive. It seemed to go over well. I've enjoyed every children's or YA piece I've written, and I find myself wondering why I don't produce more of it. Dead Earth: The Green Dawn.

Here’s a quick note for anyone who is interested in my writing and to clarify a couple of projects I hinted at a couple of weeks ago. Next up is a novelette for a licensed character. It was going to be titled “Mr. Dark”, but it may become “Mr. Dusk”instead because I like the sound of it a little better. I have some short stories to write, too. And Pod of Horror lives!

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. With 90 minutes to spare I finished the body of the novel, which came in at 50, 150 words or something like that. The final count includes some extras which will be incorporated into the next draft. The biggest change I made from last year was to start at the beginning and mostly work my way forward through the story. The result needs work, but it is a complete story, not just a patchwork.
