We've been trying to hook up an eSATA enclosure to our servers for some backup, and have found issues with the PCIe 8x slot and a controller card we were trying to install. We popped it into our test server and lo and behold it came up right away. From the boot messages we saw it was using a Marvell chipset. It connected our enclosure with no issues. My Experiences with Coraid SAN/NAS.
